The Rify Coastal Contamination Access Permit (RCCAP) Process
Before any individual may approach, observe, or even think about looting the Rify shipwreck zone, they must complete the following multi-phase authorization protocol as mandated by the Chernarus Environmental Hazard & Asset Reclamation Board (CEHARB).
Phase 1: Intent Declaration
(Form 17-B/6 “Pre-Loot Disclosure”)
-The applicant must first complete Form 17-B/6 in triplicate using a graphite pencil (ink submissions are automatically rejected for “permanence violations”).
Required disclosures include:
-Estimated number of zombies to be encountered (±2 margin of error allowed)
-Intended loot categories ranked by emotional importance
Prior exposure to gas zones (with supporting trauma statement, minimum 300 words)
-A signed affidavit confirming the applicant understands that “military loot is not a personality trait”
Each copy must be:
Folded into thirds
Stamped with a salvaged can of beans label
Delivered to three separate drop boxes located across the map
Phase 2: NBC Competency Verification
Applicants must demonstrate proficiency with protective gear by completing the Respiratory Integrity
Confidence Exam (RICE):
-Timed gas mask application while being chased by at least one infected
-Filter replacement blindfolded
-Recitation of the “Seven Principles of Not Suffocating”
A passing score requires:
-No coughing noises
-No panic-induced inventory misclicks
-Mask equipped before entering yellow fog, not after
Phase 3: Environmental Impact Projection
(Form 88-C “Loot Ethics & Redistribution Plan”)
Here, the applicant must justify their looting with a forward-looking ethical framework.
Sections include:
“Will you actually use this M4, or just hoard it?”
“How many other players will you betray to obtain this loot?”
A redistribution plan for duplicate suppressors
Failure to convincingly demonstrate moral ambiguity results in a 72-hour cooldown.
Phase 4: Board Review Hearing
Applicants must appear before a three-member CEHARB panel consisting of:
One overly suspicious survivor
One person who died at Rify last wipe and is still bitter
One silent member who only nods or shakes their head
The applicant must present:
A map route that avoids all obvious dangers (and is therefore immediately criticized)
A backup plan that contradicts the first plan
A statement beginning with:
“In the event of catastrophic gas exposure, I accept…”
Expect at least one trick question, such as:
“Why shouldn’t we just go loot it ourselves?”
Phase 5: Conditional Approval & Stamp Acquisition
If approved, the applicant receives:
A Provisional Loot Authorization Token (PLAT)
A list of 14 contradictory safety instructions
A stamp that must be applied after the loot run but before returning
The stamp can only be obtained from a traveling clerk who:
Spawns randomly
Refuses service if approached too quickly
Only accepts payment in pristine duct tape
Phase 6: Post-Loot Audit
Within 24 in-game hours, the applicant must submit Form 12-F:
Full inventory log (including items lost to panic)
Explanation for any ruined gear
A written reflection titled:
“What Rify Taught Me About Myself”
If discrepancies are found, the applicant may be:
Fined in ammunition
Forced to escort another player through the gas zone
Or worst of all… required to redo Phase 1
Final Clause
Any individual caught looting Rify without proper authorization will be subject to immediate penalties, including:
Revocation of future loot privileges
Confiscation of all beans
Being labeled “that guy” in all subsequent encounters
